Fall Is Here!!!

Fall is finally here!  I have to say that Fall is one of my favorite times of the year!  I love Fall weather, cooking, anything and everything pumpkin, and the anticipation of the holidays coming up.  We have been really enjoying how cool it has been in the morning and the evenings.  Bryk and I have been going for runs frequently and swinging outside, which is one of Bryk's favorite things to do!

Bryk went for his 6 month check up on September 16.  It was a little past his 6 month "birthday" due to scheduling issues.  He weighed a whopping 14 lbs 9 oz and was 25 in long.  The highlight of Bryk's day was getting to crinkle all the paper they lay out on the exam table for the patients to lay on!

On September 26, we flew to Minnesota for one of Carter's good friend's, Jason, wedding.  It was Bryk's 3rd round trip flight to Minnesota!  He is such a trooper!!!  I was very nervous about flying this time because Bryk is no longer the baby completely satisfied and content to just sit in your lap.  Oh no....he is the busy body wanting to be in the floor moving around and playing.  He actually did great though!  Carter was in the wedding, so I got to see my hot husband all dressed up! ; )  We had a great time visiting with Grandpa, Grandma, Aunt Meg, & Aunt Kay!

Bryk also turned 7 months on September 26.  It is so hard to believe that he is already 7 MONTHS!!!  Time has gone so fast!  He is learning so much and at such a fun age!

-Just over the last couple of weeks has he started babbling things like "da-da, ya-ya, ba-ba."  He will say them over and over, but his favorite is "da-da" and we are trying to teach him to call Carter that!

-We have started trying to give him a sippy cup, but he doesn't care one bit for it or for water or apple juice.  But we are trying and hoping that he will take to it soon!

-He is still a GREAT eater!  He has tried some new foods in addition to the ones listed before: carrots, peas, asparagus, broccoli,  and prunes.

-He does not seem to care for different textures such as the baby "puffs" and yogurt bites.  But we are still trying!

-He can sit up all by himself and is very good at it!

-He smiles ALL the time and has started to laugh out loud more often.  He has even recently decided that he is ticklish!

-Loves to play in the floor with his toys!

-Has 2 teeth and is working on cutting his top 2 teeth.

-Sleeps all night...most of the time!

-Is SO close to crawling!

-We have started to take "big boy" baths.  He gets to sit up and play with toys in the tub!

Last weekend Dandee, Grumps, Uncle Seth, Momma-D, & Poppy all came to visit us!  We had a really good time and celebrated a birthday with Poppy on Oct. 5!  We love getting to see and spend time with our family!
