We have had a BUSY Christmas season to say the least. With each of our families living out of town and in another state, we do lots of traveling! We have enjoyed every minute that we have gotten to spend with our families! This is a long one...so hang on for the ride!
We started out going to Welch on Wednesday, December 21 to spend some time with my family. Carter and I both enjoyed just doing....nothing really! I helped Mom cook a few things and Carter had to go to work one day, but for the most part we just hung out with the family. Some of our friends Al and Kasha just had a little girl, so we went by their house and got to hold their sweet baby and see their recently built home. We also went and visited my great-grandmother, Me-Ma, who is in her 90s. She was looking really good and was so glad to see us all.
On December 23, we had our family Christmas with Mom and Dad. We had a lot of fun and loved our gifts! I was so surprised and excited to get a VERY nice new camera...so bare with me as I play and learn, but expect lots of pictures! After opening gifts we played Minute To Win It the board game. Let's just say that none of us will be trying out for the show any time soon, but it was quite entertaining!

We drove back to San Angelo on Christmas Eve evening so that I could work Christmas Day and the couple of days following. I worked and frantically got ready for our flight to Minnesota during our short stay at home. We left at 7 am on December 28. We flew into Fargo this trip, which is closer than flying into Minneapolis, so his family didn't have to drive quite so far. Our flights went smooth and we arrived in Fargo at about 4:30 pm.
We had Christmas with the Brandt's on December 29. We have been having a great time here in Minnesota. There has not been any snow...which was a little disappointing. We spent New Year's Eve at Mike & Vicky's with some of their friends. We all played Family Feud on the Wii and had a good time! We watched the ball drop at midnight, but nothing too crazy!
Mike and Carter have been working on one of the snowmobiles trying to get it ready for some Radar Runs and I have been doing lots of reading and relaxing! We had supper with Carter's grandmother, Avis, a couple of nights ago and she fed us very well! Yesterday, Carter took me to a small ski hill nearby, Ande's Tower Hills. It is quite a bit smaller than the mountains, but fun nonetheless. Since there is no snow, they have had to make it all.

We are so thankful and grateful for our families and the opportunity to spend this season with them! We have loved it, but are ready to be back home and slow down a little. We head home to San Angelo tomorrow morning and then back to work I go. Don't judge me if my Christmas decorations aren't taken down until sometime next week! Lol! I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas & we wish you all a wonderful New Year!
