Well, football season is definitely in full swing. We watch high school football on Friday, college football on Saturday, NFL football on Sunday and Monday. Think we are getting enough football in!?
Carter and I have been trying to see as many of Seth's football games as possible. It has been really nice getting to spend time with family and be a part of his Senior year so far. I have to say that Mom spoils us when we are there by cooking us excellent food and feeding us WAY too much!
The Dragons season got off to a rough start! After the Whitharral game that ended in overtime, the Dragons lost the next two games. The last two weeks however, they have pulled off the W! Carter and I weren't able to make the game on Sept. 16 against Whiteface, and of course the game we miss, Seth would have his best game of the season with 6 touchdowns! Last week the Dragons played Wellman and pulled off a heart wrenching win with only 4 seconds on the clock! Wish I had more pictures, but I forgot my camera last week. Here are a few! And, PRAISE THE LORD the weather has cooled off just a little and there have been no more ER visits!

Dove Season opened September 1st. Carter and Stephen took advantage and opened it up with a bang! This is what Carter looked like as he left for his hunt (below). I won't mention that it was still like 100 degrees that day and they only shot one, yes only one dove! : )

The first weekend in September, Carter and I stayed through Sunday in Welch and decided to make a trip to the Sky Vue in Lamesa. Lamesa is a town 15 mins from Welch with one of the only original outdoor movies left in Texas. We have gone there a few times when we were at Mom & Dad's just to eat at the concession and have a famous "Chihuahua" which is a hard corn tortilla sandwich with ground beef, pimento cheese, cabbage, onions, and jalapenos. May sound terrible, but they are really excellent! At the Sky Vue there are always two movies showing back to back and you can either sit in your car and tune into the radio or you can turn the radio up and sit outside in lawn chairs. That weekend the weather was PERFECT for sitting outside! We stayed and watched both movies and had a really good time!

One year ago on September 11, Carter and I got engaged! Hard to believe how fast this past year has flown, but it has been one of the happiest of my life! We celebrated by starting a new small group at church. What a blessing it has been already! It is a group of about 26 young, married couples. We started the study Experiencing God, and have loved not only the study, but getting to know and build relationships with other Christian couples in the same phase of life. We can't wait to see what God has in store for us in the future!
That is all I have for now! I will try to be a little better about taking pictures this next month! Have a good rest of the week everyone!
