Ok...well I have been considering starting a blog for a while now, but really didn't think that our life was interesting enough to blog about, at least until we had kids. The more I thought about it with Carter and I both living away from our families, I thought that blogging might be a good way for us to keep them up to date! So here goes my first attempt....
Carter and I have been married for 2 1/2 months now...and it has been a BUSY 2 1/2 months! We had a beautiful (and HOT) wedding and an AMAZING and relaxing honeymoon, but as soon as we got home we hit the ground running! We went straight to the doctor's office where I was told I had a second ear infection, and poor Carter was stuck with a sick wife!

Luckily, I am over ear infections...hopefully for good...and we are back into our routine. Carter was able to take some time off after the wedding which he well deserved given how much he worked the month before our wedding! He took the opportunity to buy and tinker with some new toys.

Carter and I went to Welch and visited my family for Easter. The first time to go back "home" after being married! Aubree came home too so the whole family was together. My parents love that! We ate supper and played games! Aubree works at the church in San Angelo so she had to leave early on Sunday morning. After church we enjoyed some time at my grandparent's house for Easter lunch.

Last weekend Carter and I hosted a surprise party for our friend, Anna Heimbecker. I had such a good time...poor Carter got stuck on a rig and just caught the end of the party! We had homemade Toffe ice cream...compliments to my mom...and red velvet and white cupcakes! We definitely caught her by surprise! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNA!

It has only gotten hotter since the wedding...which makes it perfect lake weather! We have already had the boat out several times and have enjoyed every minute of it! My family has come down the last couple of weekends and this last weekend some of our family friends, Monte and Shelly Moore, brought their boat into town. We have enjoyed watching my brother, Seth, and Carter try to outdo one another on the wakeboard! They both are trying to master the "backflip!" Talk about entertaining!

And in latest news...I had my wisdom teeth removed on Friday morning. All I had heard were horror stories about friends who had had their wisdom teeth removed, so I was prepared for the worst. Carter was a little worried about me getting any sort of drugs for the procedure, due to the last time I was given medicine when I threw my back out in January...I was out of it for 2 days! Thankfully, everything went smoothly and I never missed a beat! I was a little goofy right afterwards due to the IV medicine they gave me, but after a little nap I was back to normal! Carter took great care of me...and even took pictures that he thought were hilarious!

Well everyone...I know this is a long post, but there was so much to catch up on over the last 2 1/2 months! I sure do hope that I get better at this blogging thing because I have to admit, I struggled and at times got very frustrated! Until next time...
